I formatted the MBP internal HDD via the Disk Utility on the Mavericks drive.The creation of the bootable USB was successful, so I booted the MBP using the newly created USB drive.I ran this in the terminal: sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia -volume /Volumes/Untitled -applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app/ -nointeraction.Select the Install OS X Mavericks media to boot from the installer volume, if it’s a USB drive it will have an orange icon. Hold down the Option key during boot to bring up the startup disk menu. I formatted an 8GB USB drive (naming it Untitled) through Disk Utility Connect the Mavericks installer drive and reboot the Mac.I downloaded Mavericks from the MAS on the iMac Plug the USB Drive in to your Mac and open Disk Utility (found under applications / utilities in finder) Select the USB Drive Select the Erase tab Ensure.I want to install Mavericks on the Leopard MBP, but had no success since.
